Planning CME Program Activities that Qualify for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™

The AMA and ACCME require that Category 1 education is planned to meet the educational needs of physicians. Interprofessional education is encouraged, and the learning experience is enriched by including all members of the healthcare team. Specific other healthcare professionals may be able to use Category 1 credit; however, the CME application must make clear that physicians are the primary audience.
